First question: which version did you order?

How a home copes with frost depends mainly on the insulation chosen at order. At MP Modular the standard is EPS 50 mm sandwich panels — a seasonal version. For winter use we quote thicker insulation, PU/PIR panels, rock wool or a winter package.

Scenario 1: home not used in winter

Scenario 2: home heated all winter

Roof

38 m² and 74 m² homes have a pitched roof as standard. Roof load capacity for your snow zone is confirmed in the quote for your location. With a flat roof, leaks are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

Checklist before the first winter

  1. I know which insulation my home has.
  2. Pipes and water connection are insulated; the space under the home is shielded.
  3. I've decided: heat all season or drain and winterise.
  4. Ventilation works.
  5. I have a sensor or someone to check the home after frost.
